How to buy genuine Casio watches wholesale: a sourcing agent's guide

How an independent watch sourcing agent finds genuine Casio and G-SHOCK stock in bulk, what to send one, how stock is checked before you pay, and which import rules to check first.

When your local distributor cannot supply the models or volumes you need, an independent sourcing agent can find genuine Casio stock for you through verified trade channels in other markets. A good agent confirms the exact references, shows you the actual units before you pay, ships with matching documents, and tells you upfront whether the stock can legally be sold in your market.

We are DOT ME INTERNATIONAL, an independent watch sourcing agent in Dubai, and Casio is our core sourcing strength. This guide explains how we source G-SHOCK, Baby-G, Edifice and other Casio lines for retailers, importers and online sellers, and what you should expect from any sourcing agent, including us.

What a sourcing agent does, and what it is not

A sourcing agent works for the buyer. We take your requirement, search trade channels across several markets for genuine stock, confirm it, and manage the offer, documents and shipment. One point of contact can cover several brands and many references in one order.

Good to know

A sourcing agent is not an authorised distributor. We do not represent Casio or any other brand. That difference matters, and any agent who blurs it is a warning sign.

Avoid

Marketplace sellers and traders you cannot verify. Fake G-SHOCK models, including the popular GA-2100, are sold online with genuine product photos, and some buyers receive a different model from the one they paid for.

What to send us, or any sourcing agent

The more precise the request, the faster and more accurate the offer. Include:

  • Full model references, including the suffix: GA-2100-1A1, not "GA-2100 black". The suffix identifies the colour and variant, and prices and availability differ between them.
  • Quantity per reference, and whether you accept substitutes if a reference is short.
  • Destination country, and whether you import yourself or need delivery to your door.
  • Target price per unit, if you have one, and your payment terms.
  • Packaging requirements: original box or tin, manual and tags, and whether they must be intact for retail or marketplace sale.
  • Documents you need for customs and your accounts.
  • Timeline: when the stock must arrive.

How stock should be checked before you pay

We confirm references, packaging and product images before any offer is final. Whoever you buy from, insist on these checks on the actual units, not catalogue photos:

  1. Case back photos of the real stock. Casio engraves a four-digit module number on the case back, and it must match the model: the GA-2100 uses module 5611 and the DW-5600E uses 3229. A missing or mismatched number is a strong sign of a fake.
  2. Engraving quality. Genuine markings are deep and clean. Shallow, fuzzy or dotted text, or a printed or stickered case back, are warning signs.
  3. Functions against the official manual. The manual for each module number is on Casio's support site. Check the light, alarm, stopwatch and world time; a genuine backlight lights the display evenly.
  4. Printing and finish. Compare dial and logo printing with official photos of the exact reference. Buttons should click firmly, and the strap and keeper should carry clean Casio markings.
  5. A realistic price. A quote far below what other trade suppliers offer for the same reference usually means the stock is not what it claims to be.
  6. A pilot order. With a new agent, a smaller first order across your key references lets you inspect real units before you commit volume.

If an agent cannot show you the case back of the units you are buying, do not pay.

Questions to ask any sourcing agent before you pay

  • Which company issues the invoice, and where is it registered?
  • Where was this stock first sold, and does that affect resale in my market?
  • Can you send case back photos of the units I am buying?
  • What documents come with the shipment?
  • How are faulty or wrong units on arrival handled?

A genuine agent answers all five clearly and in writing.

Documents to expect

Depending on the shipment and destination, expect:

  • a proforma invoice before payment, listing each reference, quantity and price;
  • a commercial invoice and packing list with the shipment;
  • a certificate of origin, where your customs authority needs it to set the duty rate;
  • the air waybill or bill of lading for tracking and clearance.

Tip

Check that the references and quantities on the invoice match your order exactly. Customs and marketplaces may ask for these documents later.

Check your market's import rules first

Trademark law decides whether branded goods bought outside your region can be resold in it, and the answer differs by market. A responsible agent raises this before you order, not after.

European Union and EEA

Trademark rights are "exhausted" only for goods first placed on the market inside the EEA by the brand owner or with its consent. Genuine goods first sold outside the EEA can still need the brand owner's consent before they are imported and sold there. EU buyers should get advice on this before ordering stock that originates outside the EEA.

Rules in the United States, the United Kingdom, Asia and the Middle East follow different principles. Ask where the stock was first sold, and check with a customs broker or trademark adviser in your market. Our guide to grey market and authorised watches, planned for December, covers this in more detail.

Warranty and after-sales

Manufacturer warranty and service terms can depend on the country where a watch was first sold. Agree in writing how faulty units on arrival are handled, and tell your own customers clearly what warranty applies.

How we work

  1. You send your requirement: references, quantities and destination market.
  2. We check availability through verified trade channels.
  3. We confirm the details: product information, packaging and images.
  4. You receive a written offer with pricing, payment and delivery terms, and the documents that apply to your shipment.

Beyond Casio, we source Tissot, Rado, Longines, Seiko, Orient and Citizen, subject to availability.

Questions buyers ask

What is a watch sourcing agent?

A watch sourcing agent works for the buyer: it finds genuine branded stock through trade channels in several markets, confirms it, and manages the offer, documents and shipment. It is not the brand's authorised distributor.

When should a retailer use a sourcing agent instead of the local distributor?

When popular models are allocated or out of stock locally, when you need references the local range does not carry, or when you want several brands in one order. For local warranty support and a steady account, the authorised distributor is the better route.

How can I check G-SHOCK stock from an agent is genuine?

Ask for case back photos of the actual units and check that the four-digit module number matches the model, for example 5611 for the GA-2100. Then test the functions against the official manual for that module.

Is it legal to import Casio watches bought outside my country?

It depends on your market's trademark rules. In the EU and EEA, goods first sold outside the EEA can need the brand owner's consent before resale. Check with a customs broker or trademark adviser before ordering.
